   South Island New Zealand - 5 day vacation 2004

In November 2004 Kim and I visited New Zealand's South Island

Christchurch

Kim and I both immediately fell in love with Christchurch. Its a really picturesque town, with stunning gardens and old British architecture dating back to the late 1800's. The people were amazingly friendly and polite wherever we went.

And everyone including shop attendants, taxi drivers, river boat punters were absolutely incredulous that we had voted Bush back into power for another 4 years. The Kiwis are amazingly direct, not holding back and it was really refreshing
