December 2006 - End of Year Model Shoot

Every year we finish of the season with a big model shoot. This year Andrea let us use her fabulous home on the intracoastal for the shoot. What a blast - 22 of us in total - MUA's, hairstylists, models, photographers, videographers, assistants! We go some amazing pics.........

December 2006 - Panoz Winter Race Series Event 2

Going fast is easy. Keeping it on the track is a completely different story! And its darn expensive when you don't get it right. Danny qualified well right at the front of the grid, but three bad wrecks in three days, put paid to any series points and left a huge dent in his wallet! December 2006 - Strategy meeting in Nevis West Indies

Danny, Kim, Hunter and Elisa joined the team from Peddinghaus to set up the strategy for 2007 and beyond. Our destination was the tiny leeward island of Nevis where we spent four glorious days at the Four Seasons Resort - which has to have the best customer service we have ever experienced!.........

November 2006 - Panoz Winter Race Series - Event 1

This was Danny's first ever motor car race. Held at the Sebring track in central Florida, Danny got a quick lesson in what it takes to be competitive in Spec car racing series.  .........

October 2006 - Panoz Advanced Motor Racing School

With the watch firmly on his wrist Danny decided to shit or get off the pot. Stepping up to the big time with some experienced racers, Danny wanted to find out once and for all if he had both the skills and the speed to join the fast boys. He already knew he had the balls!.........

October 2006 - AMG Challenge Miami

Danny finally gets it right (TWICE) and walks away with the highly coveted IWC Ingeneur watch for Best time of the Day at the AMG Challenge held at Homestead Motor Speedway in Miami .........

Sept 2006 - Panoz 3-day Road Racing School

By now the drug was really cursing through his veins so Danny had to get his next fix - this time he went for the real deal, attending a 3-day course at the famed Panoz motor racing school based based at Road Atlanta .........

August 2006 - Porsche Driving Experience Alabama

Not content with his 2nd place finishes at Lime Rock Danny decided to get some more wheel time - this time at the amazing Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham Alabama - the Augusta of motor racing circuits. And throwing the Porsches around was fun too..........

July 2006 - AMG Challenge Lime Rock Connecticut

AMG Challenge time again. There was no way Danny was going to miss the opportunity to drive at the historic track of Lime Rock in CT new England. Danny did both days, and while he didn't come back empty handed the IWC watch eluded him again .........

July 2006 - Steyn family vacations in Cabarete DR

This was the first time that the girls joined us in our idyllic resort of Cabarete. This place for us at least is still one of the most beautiful and unspoiled places in the world, with the friendliest people you can imagine and together with awesome nightlife and unbeatable windsurfing and kitesurfing - well you get the idea.........

May 2006 - Danny visits Jordan to set up dealership

Danny took his first trip to the middle east to attend the Rebuild Iraq trade show in Jordan and to set up a dealer for the middle east. Danny had a really great trip and met some of the most wonderful and friendly people.........

May 2006 - Kim produces the Oceanettes Calendar

While Danny was gallivanting in Jordan on business, Kim took on and completed a major project, producing the first annual Oceanettes Calendar for Ocean Machinery. This shoot needed two photographers, makeup artists, hairstylists, assistants and 13 models. The Calendar was a huge success.... 

April 2006 - Miami Key Largo Race

Danny Hunter Kim and Elisa set sail in the annual Miami Key Largo race aboard Hunter and Ed's new boat - the Ocean Mist. The wind was light and our boat was slow, so we altered course and spent the night out in the Bay. What a relaxing time exploring the outer reefs of Biscayne Bay. 

Jan 2006 - Danny's takes delivery of his new Mercedes Benz AMG CLS55

Danny got hooked on the awesome supercharged 5.5L V8 motor with his E55, and as a photographer who cherishes sweeping curves in all the right places, he was drawn to the styling of this downright sexy beast. And it still eats just about anything for breakfast!.........

December 2005 - January 2006 - Skiing Vacation in Vail

With new friends Chris and Dawn, and good friends Jeff and Kwezi we spent a wonderful 7 days skiing in Vail. We had new fresh fluffy champagne powder every night. In fact the snow was the best on record. We skied every day, and partied hard every night....  

June 2005 - Kitesurfing in Cabarete Dominican Republic

Good friends Mike and Rod joined me for 10 days of kitesurfing, windsurfing, surfing and general R&R in Cabarete the jewel of the Dominican Republic. What a blast we had - this what vacations are supposed to be..... 

May 2005 - AMG Challenge 2005 - Homestead Miami

One of my most exhilarating weekends ever was spent at the Homestead Speedway in Miami at the AMG Challenge 2005. Two days tossing 500HP Mercedes AMG vehicles around race courses, skid pans, and slalom sections with professional race car drivers as our instructors....

April 2005 - Wildlife Photo Safari Mkhaya Game Reserve

After Robbie and Kim's Wedding we traveled south to the Swaziland Lowveld to spend time with Mickey and Cotts Reilly and the kids at Mkhaya Game Reserve and do a bit of wildlife photography....

Paul Mom and I spent a great time with Terry, Liz and the Reilly family at Reilly's Rock in Mlilwane Game Sanctuary. Terry took us on a trip up Nyonyane and several great photo opportunities presented themselves to  Paul and I as we took our trusty Nikons and headed out on Safari.....

April 2005 - Robbie and Kim's Swaziland Wedding

It's not often that you get to travel from the USA and attend an awesome wedding in Swaziland Southern Africa. Robbie and Kim celebrated their unique wedding in phenomenal style. It was a phenomenal wedding and it was great to see the family. My brother Paul and I had some pretty good quality time together and discovered we are not that dissimilar after all! Time spent with mom was also really precious.

January 2005 - Swaziland and South African Safari

In January 2005, Kim and I traveled to South Africa with Hunter and his friend Kim. We spent 4 days in Swaziland at our family's game reserves, Mlilwane and Mkhaya. From there we drove to Durban and hugged the East Coast on our Way to Cape Town.. ...   

2004 Hobie Cat Year in Review

My superb crew, Stacey Serrer, and I worked hard during 2004 and competed in a number of local South Florida Hobie Cat events with some fairly good results. Here is a quick look at what we accomplished.....    

December 2004 - Danny gets his new Harley

Living in South Florida, the allure of the omni-present Harley Davidson's became too much to resist and I finally succumbed, dropping a bunch of money on a 2005 Softail Deluxe. It's a cool looking bike, and its perfect for cruising the beach and boulevards in downtown Fort Lauderdale..... 

November 2004 - Camping out in South Island New Zealand

Mixing business with pleasure is always a good idea, and in November 2004 Kim and I flew to South Island New Zealand where I did a some business and then we hit the road to explore the country in a Camper-Van - what a blast!..... 

July 2004 - Skiing Mt Ruapehu New Zealand

In July, I traveled to New Zealand to launch our Ocean Avenger beam Drill line and get our Ocean Brand known on the other side of the Pacific Ocean. I had a great ten days over there, spending most of my time in and around the beautiful city of Auckland, and I even managed to get some skiing in at Ohakune on Mt Ruapehu on the North Island....... 

May 2004 - Danny's new Mercedes Benz AMG E55

After much deliberation Danny splashes out and buys his dream car - THE BEAST - the Mercedes Benz AMG E55. A sheep in wolfs clothing - this predator is the fastest 4-door sedan ever sold in the USA, and eats just about anything for breakfast!..............

May 2004 - Danny becomes an American Citizen giving us plenty of reason to celebrate

The Steyn family and friends celebrate in fine form at the lively Taverna Opa overlooking the beautiful Intracoastal waterway. Party soon degenerates to a Nekkid Pool Party - Hell Yeah!............

  May 2004 - Kristina Graduates from University of Colorado with Magna Cum Laude

Kristina made us all proud by graduating Magna Cum laude from Colorado State University in Fort Collins. We spent a great weekend with the extended family celebrating with Ashley, Scott, Allison, and Matthew, not forgetting Andy, the Duty's and all the new friends........

Rod Pitt, a good friend of ours had a great 36th birthday party organized by girlfriend Sheri Nott at Taverna Opa. What a great bunch of people turned out to celebrate with Rod......

Our new years resolution for 2004 was - the Year of Behaving Badly - and we stayed true to our resolution by celebrating Kim's youngest birthday to date, with a great time at Taverna Opa...........    

   Mar 2004 - Smudge joins the Steyn Family

After nearly 17 years Cinnamon, our faithful and loving Lhaso Apso, moved on - what a great dog she was. Maizee our cute and dumb Maltsu  took Cinnamons departure pretty badly and just was not herself. So we set out to get her a  friend. And Smudge joined our family - our new lightweight PeekaPoo at only 1lb 13oz Smudge fits in the palm of your hand....

   Mar 2004 - Kim's new Nissan 350Z Roadster Convertible

Kim says good bye to her trusty BMW Z3 that we purchased from Tina and replaces it with an awesome silver Nissan 350Z Roadster - what a beauty.....

   Feb 2004 - Skiing in Italy France and Switzerland

My pilgrimage to Italy to ski with Riccardo had been put off for the past 3 years due to my ankle surgery, but i swore I had to get back up on that horse. This year, I enjoyed some of the fastest skiing of my life with Riccardo and family and I am happy to report the legs are working well.....

   June 2003 - Windsurfing Vacation Cabarete Dominican Republic

Cabarete, Dominican Republic is one of the best places to vacation if you are into windsurfing or kiteboarding. And even if you are into just lying on the beach, it is tough to beat. Kim, Rod Pitt, Colleen Flannigan and I went for a stunning ten day vacation in Cabarete - windsurfed every day, road motorbikes up into the mountains and just had a blast!...

   Jan 2003 - New Freightliner Sprinter Van Conversion

After 10 wonderful years with my original ultimate windsurfing van - my trusty Dodge B 250 van that I converted and used to travel and windsurf the entire US coastline, I decided to update it was time to move on. I purchased a new Freightliner Sprinter Van and converted it into the Ultimate Mercedes Sprinter Van - this is the story.....

   July 2002 - Summer Vacation in France and Italy

During July and August 2002 we had the privilege of traveling throughout France by rental car visiting the exquisite French coastline before heading across to Milan to hookup with my great friend Riccardo Brizzi......
